Via [livejournal.com profile] daegaer: From every single person on LJ sensible number of people who read this, give me a subject and I'll tell you my five favourites of it!
puddingcat: (Default)
Three of my LJ interests about which she wanted to know more:

Chocolate bottoms

One February, David bought me a chocolate heart lollipop from Thorntons. I think they were in the sale. But tourn it upside down, and it was bottom-shaped; the edges were the right angle for the way hips slope up into a narrow waist, and it had well-defined buttocks, too :)

Plus, chocolate & bottoms are both Good Things, so imagine the synergy of combining them!

Insane angels

Inspired by Tilda Swinton as Gabriel in Constantine. For an atheist, I certainly do love the idea of angels & fallen angels and all that. Then there's GNeil's Murder Mysteries, where "insane" might be stretching things a little, but insanity's only really ending up at a different place from everyone else, given the same set of facts, right?

Insanity changes angels from perfect (boring) beings into fascinating, scary, magnetic creatures. More stories should have them.

Themosexuals

From a conversation with [livejournal.com profile] nannyo. "He's one of them, you know." "They do all sorts of nasty things." "You can't trust them."

Most of the time, They are people I like. Whether it's family talking about pierced & tattooed alternative types, internet liberals talking about company directors, or old-fashioned people talking about homosexuals bringing about the Fall Of Society by getting married, I tend to like them. I quite often find them a lot more attractive than not-them. Hence being a Themosexual :)

You know what comes next :)
puddingcat: (Cat in a bag)
I can't possibly get everything done on time, so I'm really not motivated to try. From nearly everyone: 33 Questions )
puddingcat: (exanimate)
I've spent the last 72 hours in London, for a training course called "Understanding Forex and Derivatives".

It was around 50% successful.

I've probably missed all sorts of excitement; there was free net access at the training premises, but it was painfully slow and we only had about half an hour a day where we could get to it. Point me at what I've missed that I shouldn't have done!

I can just about cope with memes.

[livejournal.com profile] madwitch told me to list "Five favourite figures you have developed an attachment to from novels who have then been 'orribly killed off" which is evil, because I first noticed this tendency while watching Babylon 5. Spoilers for recent reading matter )

Then [livejournal.com profile] faerierhona asked for my top 5 shoe shops. Read more... )

I'm going to hurt, maim or kill [livejournal.com profile] hardwired for asking for "Top 10...Positive features you have/Good things about yourself!" Read more... )

And finally, [livejournal.com profile] annwfyn asked for the "Five happiest moments in your life so far!". Mush alert! )

Ok; apparently you can now comment with the words "Top Ten" or "Top Five", and I will reply with a subject for which you will generate a top ten (or top five) list. Post the list and these instructions in your own journal. Or not.
puddingcat: (Sexy physics plasma ball)
Beginning with S for [livejournal.com profile] snapesbabe, this time. I'm not feeling evil enough to put her as one of them ;) Read more... )
puddingcat: (Bowler)
[livejournal.com profile] strangefrontier told me to list 10 good things beginning with "B". Being Bored and well-Behaved, I'm doing so. Comment if you want a letter all of your own. Read more... )

The "5 Simple Pleasures" meme of a few weeks ago has resurfaced, having inflated to 7 things. These were my original 5 (and still stand). The others (darned interest charges) are:

6. Making things. I don't always want them once they're finished, but I get a lovely feeling of achievement out of the process of creation, whether it's knitting, drawing or work.

7. Mutual flirtation, where nothing's happened yet, and neither side quite admits to anything, but the subtext is thicker than your average McDonald's worker.
puddingcat: (Screw you)
And because I always do what SB tells me. Read more... )
puddingcat: (Bowler)
I'm doing this cos [livejournal.com profile] littlekitsch tagged me for the "Five odd habits" meme, and I couldn't think of any I was willing to admit. Read more... )
puddingcat: (Ballroom dancing)
[livejournal.com profile] mrmmarc: Top five songs you would rather not anyone know you like. A lot.

Harder than it sounds; I'm proud of my abysmal taste in music :p

1. Dolly Parton - Jolene.
2. The Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life.
3. Westlife - You Raise Me Up.
4. Glenn Campbell - Rhinestone Cowboy.
5. Meatloaf - Bat Out Of Hell.

I could go on. And on, and on...

When [livejournal.com profile] munchkinott eats cheese before bedtime, she gets to dream about nekkid!Jameseses. I get dreams of RAF gliders crashing over Sharpenhoe Clappers, finding the radar module (and several unexplained but essential large glass spikes) in the grass, and bartering with them in a very LotR-style village market for more, better cheese. Thre's self-awareness for you - even in my dreams, I know that my dreams aren't as good as I'd hoped for.
puddingcat: (Going commando)
Went to see Narnia last night. )
puddingcat: (Going commando)
[livejournal.com profile] munchkinott: The Top 5 Top 5 Lists.
1. Top Five ways to get nekkid!Jameseses through the Matrix & into my living room.
2. Top Five reasons to give me money.
3. Top Five reaosns people think I'm fab.
4. Top Five reasons to have elective plastic surgery.
5. Top Five ways to achieve my Targets In Life.

[livejournal.com profile] professoryaffle: 5 reasons why Richard Hammond isn't sexy, just to counter all the Jeremy Clarkson ones!
Nooooo! Um...
1. He's going to be way skinny in RL if he looks that thin on tv.
2. No degree. Just some substandard qualification from Harrogate Art College...
3. He's married. That puts me off most people.
4. Will apparently present anything for money. No standards.
5. Whine, whine, whine, all the way back from Italy in the Cessna.

[livejournal.com profile] snapesbabe: 5 favourite monsters.
1. Vampires - good dress sense, nocturnal, pale & interesting, charismatic...
2. Dragons. I hate The Hobbit because they killed Smaug (the bastards!)/
3. All of the monsters in Where The Wild Things Are. So *sweet*.
4. Werewolves. When done properly (American Werewolf in London) and not weird scrawny thing (Harry Potter).
5. Unicorns (of the horse with cloven hooves & horn variety, not he mediaeval goaty things). I'm still a pony-mad little girl in many ways.

That was *hard*. Picking things that aren't variants on a basic theme (whee only the variant is interesting), that haven't just been made up for AD&D, or that did actually exist but became extinct ages ago *really* cut down the list.

[livejournal.com profile] dch4: Corset Vendors
1. [livejournal.com profile] brute_force. By miles. Great quality, flattering & comfortable.
2. [livejournal.com profile] lescarpolette. I don't own any of hers *yet*, but I'd like to. They're beautiful Edwardian-styled (as opposed to B_F's Victorian ones) and in all sorts of fabrics & colours.
3. Murray & Vern, for their underbust ones. I tried a cupped one once & it was *ridiculous* - they didn't seem to understand that breast tissue continues round the side of the ribcage. If I'd been flat enough to fit the cups, I shouldn't have been wearing an unpadded overbust corset.

Um. I don't know anyone else. Certainly *not* Vollers; they're uncomfortable & overpriced for the quality (the busks don't reach the end of the channels). Heresy are comfortable, but don't have enough curve for me (they're very cyber-style & tubular, with less comparative waist reduction than I like). Axfords are underwear, not tight lacing. I'd like to try one of [livejournal.com profile] becky_spence's, when she gets going properly.

[livejournal.com profile] neilhist: Five things to be really really good at.
1. Breathing :p
2. A musical intrument (I'd choose something that can be played solo as well as in a group - piano would be ideal, if I had space).
3. A handicraft (I'm pretty good with sewing, and I'm getting there with knitting. I'd like to learn metalwork.)
4. A sport (To County level or equivalent. I'm tempted by Ballroom dancing atm, but I'd like to do something like rock climbing.)
5. Something DIYish or practical. I'm looking for a proper car repair / maintenance course.
puddingcat: (Going commando)
[livejournal.com profile] karohemd: The 5 hottest cars:
1. Aston Martin DB9.
2. Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
3. Ferrari F430 Spider.
4. Bugatti Veyron.
5. Porsche 911 Carrera.

[livejournal.com profile] robinbloke: 5 top things to tie to your bed.
1. Um. I never have done. Um.

[livejournal.com profile] nurse_liz: Top 5 places you like to be touched.
1. Feet.
2. Hands.
3. Scalp.
4. Shoulders.
5. Inside forearms.

[livejournal.com profile] tooth_fairy: 5 favourite accents.
1. BBC English / RP.
2. Edinburgh (Morningside).
3. West Country.
4. Excessively posh English.
5. American Deep South.

[livejournal.com profile] crocodilewings: Five things you own which would be better if they were invisible.
1. Spare tyre (the one on me, not in my car boot.)
2. Cellulite.
3. My car. How cool would an invisible car be?
4. Corsets. All the squish without showing how it's done :)
5. Cats. If the cats are invisible, so's the cat hair...
Shame I don't have any man traps. There are still too many red-haired children in the world ;)

[livejournal.com profile] littlekitsch: Five attractive things about Jeremy Clarkson.
1. He has long legs.
2. Good taste in cars (most of the time) & a wonerful way with words when describing them.
3. The ability to laugh at himself (see the custard pie invident).
4. He's actually quite intelligent.
5. His total & utter boundless enthusiasm for things.
Ha!

[livejournal.com profile] xambrius: Top five things to do on a first date.
1. Cinema - to see something funny (*not* a chick flick) or good sci fi.
2. A nice meal - proper pub food, not rushed, in a non-smoking bar.
3. Lots & lots of talking & silliness.
4. Doing something to remember - going to a fairground, motor show, theatre, races, quad biking, etc.
5. Collapsing at home & talking over tea & wine & losing track of the time.

[livejournal.com profile] redshira: Five sexiest things about Ron Weasley.
1. He isn't real :p
2. He can fly a broomstick.
3. He's related to Fred & George.
4. His hair might darken to something other than brght ginger, later in life.
5. He made the "Uranus" joke in Trelawney's class :)

[livejournal.com profile] karohemd (again): The five sexiest physicists.
1. Newton.
2. [livejournal.com profile] brute_force.
3. My old lab partner, Grim.
4. MacGyver. (He makes Things out of Stuff, and therefore Counts :p)
5. Brian Cox (no, not that one - the keyboard player from Dare and then D:Ream, who was on my course at University & is now a Doctor of Astrophysics and occasionally does TV prorammes for the Open University).

Stolen from nearly all the important people (except the ones who haven't done it yet):

You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in my comments section. (examples: "5 Sexiest Things About Ron Weasley" or "Top 5 things to drink"). Then, in a separate post, I'll post the answers to all your Top 5 ideas, according to me. Then you post this offer in your own journal.
puddingcat: (Default)
But it's [livejournal.com profile] robont's 12 Babes of Christmas lark again. Some fool nominated me a month or two back (thanks ;) ) so I sent in a load of the pics [livejournal.com profile] karohemd took last month.

This is the place to go to vote. AFAIK, he's tracking ISP addresses to avoid vote rigging.

You get 12 votes. If it's like last year, you can't select all 12 at once; you vote once, submit, go back & vote again, & so on. All 12 votes can be for the same person if you're that besotted :) Votes are cast, [livejournal.com profile] robont adds them up, and the 12 people with the most get adulation & more photos posted during the Christmas season.

Yes some of them are on the adult side. No, I wouldn't show anything that wouldn't be visible at the local swimming pool.

If you don't want to vote for me < /subliminal hints >, consider [livejournal.com profile] baobh (one of [livejournal.com profile] brute_force's models), [livejournal.com profile] becky_spence, [livejournal.com profile] cryx, [livejournal.com profile] faerierhona, [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha (go look at her LJ for pics), [livejournal.com profile] littlekitsch, [livejournal.com profile] vulgarcriminal, or [livejournal.com profile] wicked_wish. I want to see someone I know (for values of "know" between real life & 2 degrees of internet) in there :)

---

In other news, I must remember that taking it easy doesn't usually involve working so hard my coffee goes cold next tome.

Oooh! Serenity! My favourite character didn't die! WTF is up with that?
puddingcat: (Pretending to be tall)
I'm going to base this on [livejournal.com profile] annwfyn's 4 pillars idea, cos it's handy.
