I'm doing this cos littlekitsch tagged me for the "Five odd habits" meme, and I couldn't think of any I was willing to admit.

Name five of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then pick five people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.

1. Having a cat fall asleep on my lap & start dreaming.
2. Finding the sweet spot of revs when accelerating, when the noise & vibration & push against my back all hit at once and the engine sound becomes music.
3. The bass solo in Paul Simon's You Can Call Me Al. Several other pieces of music too (Ungar's The Ashokan Farewell, Pachelbel's Canon & Fugue in D, adn Queen's The Show Must Go On spring to mind), but that's the one for which I'll stop doing what I'm doing.
4. Sitting next to someone I like & trust enough to lean on & just relaxing together & enjoying the physical contact.
5. Cheese. Specificaly, strong Cheddar, white Stilton with apricots, or Stinking Bishop.
