Um. Yes. That [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo thing? I've just posted the Schuldig Monologue over at [livejournal.com profile] wk_fiction. It did, at least, break my self-consciousness over writing rude words (if not, y'know, actually showing people what I wrote).

But anyway. That was 2,177 words. Then there was the Abba filk (308) and a few drabbles.

The (as yet unposted) first piece was 250, and there's a stalled sequel to the Monologue that's currently 527. Not to mention a half-completed WK mood theme. So, that's 2,785 posted words or 3,562 total. Not quite the 5,000 target, but I'd neglected to remember how hellish work gets from the middle of November.

The dead gnomes? Very peculiar (but funny).

I had to get up at 7am this morning. I actually did get up at 8am this morning. It isn't civilised, I tell you. Any sensible person would wait til the world had warmed up a bit (say, until 10.30) and then stay up late to make the most of the residual heat being radiated from a planet that had spent 9 hours or so being heated up by the sun.

I've been steadily tidying up my LJ tags to merge those with only one use into existing more common ones. My life appears to be mainly grupming about work and men (and yes, this is another one). I need to get out more.

Got all Inspired for another WK fic last night (by Don Henley - I'm so rock 'n' roll, me). Can't quite think how to start it though. It has the potential to be An Epic, or alternatively tiny. Am also being given Bad Ideas by [livejournal.com profile] wk_100's latest challenge ("Trapped"). No, really; when I say "bad", I mean "claw your brian out and stomp on it".

No further progress on Branching Out, either in RED or ORANGE. I have, however, knitted 15" of Wavy. It looks like a translucent tortoiseshell cat's tummy. The wiggly ribbing is starting to show up, though not as clearly as in the picture on knitty.com; that's what I get for knitting it out of fairy sheep instead of DK.

Whee!

1732 words in the [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo Villainous Monologue!

And now to bed, with George Manville Fenn and the jungles of Siam. Yeah, baby.

I have No Idea where to post my insane attempts at creativity. They're too long for (and don't fit the challenge at) [livejournal.com profile] wk_100.

Snippets & word counts will be going up at [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo. Until I go back to work next week, at which point I expect all my good intentions to fall by the wayside. Still, I'm having fun so far; Schuldig (see icon, for those of you not yet sucked into the crack that is WK) has taken over my brain and is monologuing.

Well, Branching Out is proving do-able in acrylic so I tried it in the RED mohair.

I hate mohair. The fluff was masquerading as a real stitch, and I'd gained one *somewhere* by the end of the fourth row.

So I went & played with assassins some more. Who'd have thought it? I have a nice, self-contained little 250-word ficlet. I still can't do conversations or sex, but 250 words is 2 1/2 times longer than anything else I've written :)
