Feb. 23rd, 2007 06:55 pmToday was a semi-malingering day. I'm still not well, but managed to get out to Boots and Hobbycraft (which is next door to Boots, so less cheeky than it could have been) this afternoon. Typically for me, I wanted beads in a size / colour combination that don't appear to exist - either I could get 3mm beads in cheap-fake-pearl colours, *or* a differnt size in a colour I wanted. Also typically, I've bought two colourways because I still haven't decided which I'm going to make the gloves in pic 20/24 in. I want to do pics 13 & 14 as well, and have enough yarn - but I'm not sure which colourways to use for which thing. I have one ball of Jay, and two of each of New Storm and Raphael. Except that the New Storm would look lovely as the gloves, but Jay & Raphael don't go together at all, and if I do the gloves in Jay I'll also want them in New Storm, and then won't wear the Jay ones, and however much I love the Raphael as a colour, it won't go with anything else I wear unless I mix it with monochrome. I think I'm going to have to buy some more yarn. Woe.

norfolkian has discovered, I'm on Facebook under my Real Name, should anyone who knows what the point of it is feel like friend-equivalent-ing me.
Yes, I'm still snotulent. The Human Magic Eight Ball (akasnapesbabe) has told me to sell it all on eBay by pretending it's Britney's. Sadly, I think I'd no longer count as Fit And Proper if I tried that, and would never work again. Although, actually...
Is anybody out there? If it weren't for the "I'm bored" post on Tuesday, I'd be thinking I've ben sent to online-Coventry. Was it something I said? I promise this cold isn't catching over the net...
Boudica update: Corvus & Valerius (and Longinus, Valerius' best-friend-with-benefits) still alive. Camulodunum decidedly not so.

The razorblade throat that got worse yesterday is now Raging Manflu, to the point where it might actually be considered a bad cold.
I haven't got dressed all day, the Lemsips are barely working any more and I can't even concentrate on reading for long enough to continue with Dreaming The Serpent Spear. I'm still convinced that Corvus is going to die horribly, given the number of references in the first hundred pages to his twu wuv for Valerius. Who might also be going to die, even more horribly, just for being my favourite character (and having had two whole legionnaries - and a Belgic slave-boy - in love with him). Boo.
Closer still to getting my hair cut off. It keeps getting in the way when I have a coughing fit or blow my nose.
