My computer thinks it's sick. *Every time* I boot it up, it runs a chkdisk. Today, I stuck it into safe mode, defragged it (and boy, does that take a long time these days) and chkdisked it again, closed it down properly & rebooted - and it's still happeneing.

I run Ad-Aware & AVG regularly, and neither have shown anything. Suggestions for what to try next would be lovely, but bear in mind they'll be met with a response of "Ok - how do I do that?" unless you explain v-e-r-y slowly in the first place.

Mum linked me here - looks interesting, especially for all these "Oh look, I've forgotten Project 365 again, so I'll take a picture of my toes" pictures.

I finished my socks. I have hand-knitted socks that fit and don't fall down or cut off my circulation. Im waiting for the Reality Police to come calling, cos this sort of thing doesn't happen to me.

More yarn - I have some Rowan Tapestry from the John Lewis sale, and want to make a Useful Bag from it. How much does it felt? I've worked out the area I can knit on the recommended needle size (or do I need bigger needles, if I'll be shrinking it all later?) but what will that end up as, after the washing machine?

Cat pics.

Chloe is one of the cats who waylay me on the way home most nights.

Chester is another and never used to be so tubby. I used to think he was part oriental from his pointiness.

This is Archie, I think - except that Archie used to attack anything when he was brand new, and this one was scared of anything that moved.

Cleo's foot this time, complete with proof that a black cat can have white pubes. More pictures in the gallery from today, cos she was being so fuzzy and smily at me :)

Courtesy or Kitty, a couple of photos of me from Antilight in June.

That was the first Hellishly Hot weekend (hence the lack of Real Goth Clothes); I don't always look like a sweaty potato. Although I do quite like these anyway. Mmmm, potatoes...

Thank you [livejournal.com profile] karohemd!

My birthday present arrived today - an A4 binder with a selection of the photos taken (incuding these two, which are possibly my favourite pictures of me evereverever)during Ozzy's visit last September printed out, and a DVD of all of them :)

Then I opened the curtains and looked out of the patio doors into the face of a large fox. A gorgeous, huge, well-fed fox, in my back garden. It stared at me for a while, then trotted off into the bushes at the bottom of the garden. I hope it comes back; I put out some cat food for it. Jasper didn't seem bothered at all - he was watching it with me & seemed only mildly interested.

In which Freud would have a field day with my similes )

Car show pictures (including the positively pornographic Griffith interior) are here.

Lavender Hill Party photos (in which I didn't get killed by a mob) are here.

Weasel knitted me a set of Knit!Gear people, and the natural thing to do was to stuff jeremy into the catnip tub to marinate for a couple of weeks. This is the result. I love Jasper's guilty looks :)

One of the Very Important Things that I meant to say last night was this: [livejournal.com profile] pink_weasel and [livejournal.com profile] very_true_thing have an onion chopper that apparently causes the onion to explode all over the kitchen. The original plan was for them to use this to dispose of my body, after bumping me off with the spike on the distaff that Weasel doesn't have.

My vastly superior plan is to scale up the onion exploder and use it on caravans :)

(Nor did I mention the Herby and Spicy panty liners, or the Midnight Ping Pong Playing Bus Drivers.)

My back garden - there's no grass showing at all, now.
The view from my front doorstep.
The dead church.
I can't find my silly hat.

Just a quickie; on my way out via non-LJers to meet [livejournal.com profile] vulgarcriminal and her posse; feeling fat & orrible; reminding myself how much is in circumstance & lighting & attitude.

Me, drunk, only old eyeliner, no photo processing, no special setup.

Me, medium face, nice lighting, posed & taken by Man With Talent.

Look here when feeling orrible & grotty.

Go see how great [livejournal.com profile] karohemd made me look!

Have e-mailed the dream car owner to see whether the dream car is still available. I think a 1985 silver Porsche 911 Carrera would be good for my health.
