I have Guinness Marmite! [livejournal.com profile] professoryaffle is an eBay legend :D Also, red silk laceweight yarn, and dark green pre-socks from [livejournal.com profile] nannyo!

Scarily, my cards are all either pink & cakey, or have flowers.

THE PLAN is to go into town now, then to The Winchester Carlton Arms tonight (probably 7.30 / 8ish) for food & drinks. Come & say Happy Birthday to me! I'm a beer lightweight, so you won't need to buy me a drink or anything ;)

Ok. As usual, I've procrastinated & missed out on cheap train tickets, but Plans So Far look like:

Friday evening: sleep.

Saturday: catch train to London Euston - there's one leaving at 10.54 that gets in at 13.21, or one at 11.24 that arrives at 13.39. If I really can't get out of bed, the 11.54 gets to Euston at 14.18. Then I can wander to wherever [livejournal.com profile] moony wants to meet up, hopefully gathering a [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth en route, and listen to them enthuse about Macs. Possibly whilst in the British Museum.

Around teatime, I'll head towards the Weaseldome and start getting excited about Sunday.

Sunday: CROYDON MOTOR SHOW. Oh, yes. No plans for the evening yet; will follow along with [livejournal.com profile] pink_weasel and [livejournal.com profile] very_true_thing's plans.

Monday: Get up & go home. Sensible trains home are round about on the hour & half past; I'd like to get one after lunch but before 4.00. If anyone wants more of my company in the morning, text me.

Thinking about it, I'll have my luggage with me on Saturday. Is there somewhere sensible to leave it at one of the stations that doesn't cost an arm & a leg? Weasel, is it Victoria I need to go to to head on down to Weaselville? Though I'd rather not have to backtrack from Euston to possiblyVictoria, then back to Tottenham Court Roadish, or from Euston to TCRish to Euston to PV. Help!

I'm so tired I hurt.

My eyes want to spit out my contacts and close, my forehead's gone numb and I feel as if I'm thinking through treacle, and I've gone numberblind.

I'm not sure why. I got to sleep at 11 last night and (apart from a very strange nightmare about someone singing Silent Night at me) slept well. I've had coffee and carbs and protein and mints and sugar and salad & fruit, and an LJ break and a wander round the office, aand a walk down to Sainsbury's at lunchtime, and none of it's worked.

[livejournal.com profile] moony! Are you still interested in meeting up on Saturday? Or possibly Monday? I'm trying to plan train tickets :) And [livejournal.com profile] pink_weasel - if I aim to get to the Weaseldome late Saturday afternoon / early evening, is that ok? Will staying Sunday night be ok, or too much hassle on Monday morning? Staying the extra night would be easier for me, but I can do the staying with parents thing if necessary.

Proving that I can, at tims, be self-centred (though also soft centred, like a norange cream), I think I've overbooked myself in March. I assume that I'll have time for a Proper Birthday do, but agree to go along to all sorts of friends' Events as well and end up running around like a headless wotsit.

I *think* this is what I have booked:

Saturday 4 March - [livejournal.com profile] westernind's wedding celebrations in Birmingham (note to self - sort out B&B).

Saturday 11 March - I Have Forgotten.

Saturday 18 March - In an ideal world, the classic car show in London with the Oversteer girls - will depend on other bookings & energy levels.

Saturday 25 March - Much Shopping in Manchester with anyone who can cope with Girl Shopping and cocktails.

Saturday 1 April - [livejournal.com profile] karohemd's birthday in Cambridge, possibly staying with [livejournal.com profile] dr_wez on the Friday night if I can face the drive after a day at work.

What have I forgotten? What else have I promised?

[livejournal.com profile] dr_wez and I are going to become Grumpy Old Men and flick V-signs at theh world as it goes by.
