Needless to say, I didn't get a shag (be it woolly, feathered or otherwise). Nor did I get vodka. By the time I got home, I had the energy to check e-mail, make a new LJ icon (that still looks skinny after being stretched sideways in Photoshop, though at least it's pigeon-toed), and then go to bed.
i thought that exercise was supposed to make you sleep better? Since starting the gym thing, I've been waking up throughout the night & not getting back to sleep. I'm knackered & mentally dazed all the time. I'm not overdoing it (checking heart rates etc). Bah.
Mind you; after 4 visits, I've upped the amount I canrun lurch from 1km in 10m to 1.8km in 15 mins. I can run lurch for 15 minutes without stopping! Go me! God I'm crap.

Date: 2006-03-09 02:42 pm (UTC)This [in]conclusively proves that there's only one form of exercise advisable if you plan to be asleep shortly after.
That am science, that.
Is "vodka lust" a lust *for* or a lust *caused by*?

Your theory may well be sound, but I'm not in a position to test it. Poo.

Date: 2006-03-09 11:57 am (UTC)Still, at least I don't have to run. I very much doubt that I could manage 1.8km in 15 minutes!

Date: 2006-03-09 01:48 pm (UTC)Also, I need the muscle as well atm; my legs are failing before my lungs & heart do, so building them up would be handy (if legs can be handy...). I'll probably slack off soon enough & not go on consecutive days, but the membership's only a 6 week one, nd the run is in 8 weeks or threabouts, so pushing myself (up to a point) can't hurt :)

Date: 2006-03-09 03:32 pm (UTC)I just restarted water aerobics after more than a year absence. By the end of the first class, my arms are soooo sore!

God I'm crap.
If everyone who isn't-all-that-good at running were crap, the world would be an even smellier place. Lurching for 15 minutes is already pretty good - just watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre if you don't believe me.

Date: 2006-03-09 09:20 pm (UTC)Wasn't the TCM great? I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself :) *And* I jumped at the end, which was unexpected.
The only runners I know are *runners* and not lurchers, whichis why I seem crap in comparison. Give me 10 weeks, and I'll consider revising that statement :)
