Needless to say, I didn't get a shag (be it woolly, feathered or otherwise). Nor did I get vodka. By the time I got home, I had the energy to check e-mail, make a new LJ icon (that still looks skinny after being stretched sideways in Photoshop, though at least it's pigeon-toed), and then go to bed.

i thought that exercise was supposed to make you sleep better? Since starting the gym thing, I've been waking up throughout the night & not getting back to sleep. I'm knackered & mentally dazed all the time. I'm not overdoing it (checking heart rates etc). Bah.

Mind you; after 4 visits, I've upped the amount I can run lurch from 1km in 10m to 1.8km in 15 mins. I can run lurch for 15 minutes without stopping! Go me! God I'm crap.

1 year's gap from exercise

Well if that's the effect a 1 year lay-off has , then there is absolutely no hope at all for me, since the last time I did serious and consecutive exercise was 40 years ago when I was at school. I have been practising sitting down and standing up (mainly leaving the computer for food)! and I occasionally do walking (erm ...ambling). I wanted to develop my muscle power by attacking the awkward kids at school but they wont let me!! So I think I'm doomed to being this unfit, overweight giant. But on the other hand I am totally gorgeous(!) so what does it matter.
