Still, weekend before last was back in Hull, and had wonderful, wonderful (proper) fish and chips in Beverley...beautiful - you can't get proper chips south of the Pennines. And the fish? pah!
Hmm...visiting Aussie was mentioning wanting to meet my Nan...there is Carvers...can always demonstrate why scorn should be poured on folks who claim British food is rubbish...
Only problem with going back is that i have to leave!
Hmm, going for fish n' chips (it was a nice fish resturant - not sure what it was called though) and pottering around the shops. Not exciting, but no more stress than the poor alcohol-riddled body could handle either!
Its going to get even prettier if the snow and blizzards they're forecasting arrive as planned. Unfortunately i'm across the border in darkest Lancs. and its absolutely bloody freezing and damp here with the sound of determined rain on the window. I'm trying not to look as it was all sleety earlier and it will just make me feel colder. Told at school this morning that if the threatened weather arrives I will be phoned before 8.15 and told not to go in. Hurrah, could be a short week and then I could go and throw snowballs at the ducks in the park!!

Date: 2006-02-27 05:25 pm (UTC)I know the feeling. I was at a wedding in Beverley last summer, as it happens. That was a bizarre and booze-ridden experience. Hmmm.
