I'm bored.

I haven't been givenn a portfolio yet, I've finished the piece of work that kept me busy last week, and the next one lined up doesn't start until tomorrow. That's out in Leigh on an industrial estate - nothing like a bit of mid-week glamour to up the excitement. I think I might have been misunderstood when I was jumping up & down & demanding to be let back onto the truck jobs; this one's Norbert Dentressangle, who might drive the things, but don't make them, and it's the manufacture that's the fun bit. The production line at Leyland Trucks looks like the biggest Meccano set In The World Ever - you start with a stick of metal and bolt bits on as it goes back & forwards along the floor until you have a custom-built truck. It's fabulous, and I want that client back, Now.

I dyed my hair last night; inch long roots make me look as if I'm going thin on top. Unfortunately, I left it a little late & didn't have time for the proper conditioner afterwards. As a result, I'm Static Girl! today. Sensitive hair nothing; I look as if I've had a balloon rubbed against my head.

Made the mistake of looking at theladiesloos this morning in my boredom. The CJTC is still there, and it still appears impossible to criticise the community without being flamed, insulted & told to shut up & go away.

Anyway, the weekend in Shropshire was excellent. I should resolve to go on holiday with chefs (professional & otherwise) more often. professoryaffle is a superb organiser, minspi needs to work less (or I'll bring out the guilt trips), dr_wez made monkeks, nurse_liz is a Glorious Leader, nannyo a fab knitting partner, rms a well trained wool bitch, geekpsi wore a kilt, and the others proved that you don't need an LJ to be Real People. Photos are pending approval.

I think the problem isn't so much with the criticism as with the anon criticism!

*Some* of the anon criticism is OTT and unpleasant, but often I've thought the poster's making a good point. I'm put off the iea of sating anything myself, because the one time I did I was jumped on very hard & quickly - so the anon account would be the safe way for me to bring up worries. Unfortunately, I can't think how to get the mods & Loud Members to take me seriously, either by my own name or as a reticent anon; having concerns called a storm in a teacup and fuss about nothing before having gone into detail makes me think it isn't worth it.

I reacted "strongly" to seeing the CJTC in the 'Loos.

PS I approve the photos, even though I'm never wearing that skirt with that top again...

Do you think we could tranquilise minspi with a blowdart, and set up some sort of electronic sensor and shock system so that he can only work during your actual WORKING hours? Hmmm, could we set a guilt trap?

I think we need to put a taser type device on his mobile so it gives him electric shocks outside of working hours see if we can do some sort of reverse pavlovs conditioning!

I don't see real ladies' loos as a wonderful thing because whenever I'm not the only one in the toilets, there's a group of yappy, bigoted and irritating women leaning over all the sinks doing their makeup in the mirror and looking at you as if you've committed a criminal offence when you say "excuse me, please may I get to the sink". That's pretty much why I didn't join the LJ community and, er, yes.

*Shrugs* Get rid of rosamicula and sushidog and I'd be much happier there, even if I'm not interested in most of the posts.
