It's Not Fair *wails*
Jan. 1st, 2006 08:08 pmI have the sort of sore throat I usually only get after enthusiastically snogging someone new, and I'm 99% sure I haven't done any such thing for a long time. My camera and Trusted Friends back this up, too. *pouts*
nannyo hosted the New Year's Eve Notaparty, and it was (as always) fab. I did get erpeatedly distracted by the marble machine, almost fell asleep around 8.30, and ended up drinking more tea than wine, but I was one of the token Grown Ups (along with
the_mendicant and
whotheheckami) so I think it's allowed :)
For some reason, I have photos of almost everyone's tummies (mine & Mendi's excepted).
dr_wez is remarkably good at girly chats,
minspi is the purriest kitten I know (:p) and
nurse_liz remains Our Glorious Leader (and she's a nurse, and she told me that alcohol's good for me, so It Must Be True).
Colinette haven't delivered my knitting patterns yet. How dare they have holiday in the holiday season? There's knitting to be done!
The weekend's award for I Want One Of Those goes to (jointly):
- the V8 Vantage that engine braked next to me at a roundabout and made me turn off Paul Simon despite the impending bass solo, just to hear the amazing, incredible, orgasmically beautiful noise it was making. The Bentley Continental in the city centre is practically silent; DB9s purr almost as nicely as
minspi, but this was something else.
- the TVR Vixen parked in my street when I got home. Not a straight line in it, and the only car I've ever seen that looked good in yellow with tan leather interior.
