Ok, there's a related article with a different point of view as well, but still THE RAGE. IT BURNS.

(Worst of all, I suspect it burns most because I have a deep-rooted belief that he's telling the truth. I dislike my RAGE being directed at myself.)

Remember, it's the Evil Brain Hamsters who tell you that spending £1000 per month on grooming yourself to within an inch of being Barbie is good, rather than spending it on fast liquor and strong women :-)

Mmm, Gin.

Remember, girls who live on the edge always look slender and bright-eyed.

Drink Gin.

I thought that was living on speed and cigs? (the benefits of having 4 dealers on speed dial!)

No, not so. For the gods look out for feisty girls, girls who are up for anything.

This you cannot do if you are plastic, though the speed and cigs help a bit. As does the sex, drugs & rock n' roll diet.

No no, those are flat squirrels on the edge of the road.

Those too. It's very important not to get the two things confused.

Sweetie, if you want to pretend to be a flat squirrel on the edge of the road, please be my guest. :-)

I shall be in the shoe shop. Or possibly eating cake.

Oh, not me. I just wondered why two such pointless things should not be confused.

Mmm, cake. Why are there no cakes flavoured with gin?

Because you've never eaten one of my cakes, that's why.

Okay, I've yet to use gin in cake, but I'm sure I could.

Neither of which I eat, dammit!

The worst thing for me is women (and men) who remove laughter lines. They're so sexy!

Smoking is why you need to have your teeth whitened *every month*!

Mmm. Gin.

I earn £1000 per month. Damn right I'm spending it on cake not manicures.

Oh, I do spend on beauty products. Moisturiser is a MUST, as is exfoliator, hand cream and body butter (I have psoriasis). I might spend £20 a month?

From: [identity profile] feanelwa.livejournal.com
That's probably about what I spend, on average.

I just thought about this long and hard, and I use:

Shampoo
Conditioner
Hair Dye
Serum when my skin feels very dry
Moisturiser
Exfoliator (face)
Exfoliator (body)
Body Butter
Shower gel
Bath oil
Hand and cuticle cream
Mail strengthening stuff

All of which sounds like a lot but is maybe 10 - 15 minutes a day? Except when I have a bath, then it's 2 - 3 hours :-) I have handcream and lip balm on my desk at work, as we have aircon and my skin is in agony all winter anyway from the psoriasis. I shave my legs etc once or twice a week, and usually exfoliate by using a body puff, but once or twice a week use an exfoliant.

So - shower and wash self/ hair. Exfoliate. Maybe 10 minutes? Add serum and body butterm get dressed, let's say it's a slow morning so 20 mins in total so far. During breakfast slather on moisturiser.

in 30 mins in the morning I can be ready and have done ALL of that lot in my beauty routine (handcream goes on just before I leave the house usually)

I am not taking more time than that out of my life thank you!

Hee. Yes, I have baths that run into the hours. So warm...Lush and teh British Heart Foundation book section get a lot of money out of me in the winter!

I have recently started exfoliating and the acne on my back went away. I was quite surprised, I thought it was pointless, but it's not. But then my scalp is always covered in spots however often I wash my hair and has been since I was ten; I just try to minimise its impact on the rest of my body. Psoriasis must suck a lot more, poor you!
