Dear Yuletide Writer

puddingcatHello :) I think I may have got a little carried away with the details section is my requests, but in case you want more, I've wittered on a bit below.
For everyone else, this is for a fic exchange and is Not Relevant to you, so no "Eww, weirdo!" replies, please :p
General stuff
THANK YOU.
Things I really don't like include non-con,animal cruelty, and focus on children. Colourful euphemisms and Homeric epithets distract me from the story, and comma splices (bad grammar generally, but those in particular) are like fingernails on a blackboard. (Ouch; that sounds horribly ungrateful and harsh. The grammar bits are just preferences, really! Please ignore them if you like - you're the one writing :) )
Things I love include having fics written for me (*grin*), banter, Really Sweet Relationships With Underling Angsty Histories, and buttocks. Um. Ideally, I'd like to walk out of the room with a grin on my face after reading because the fic's been like a big hot chocolate with marshmallows and a large slug of booze. Actually, that's a very appropriate simile - I like something about a fic to smack me around the head an hour or so later the way a nice brandy will suddenly, without any warning, disconnect your legs from your brain.
In general, anything from gen to hardcore smut is fine, but I do like exploring the relationships between characters in terms of possible- to actual- Going Out With Each Other. Subtext is wonderful. Innuendo and double meaning is fantastic.
Wild Adapter
A little part of me is still convinced tis is a Saiyuki AU. Komiya fascinates me - I was astounded when he was killed off. Minekura's art of Tokito & Kubota makes me squee every time I see it; how they're always touching, sometimes one's hugging the other, and other times it's the other way around. I *really* get into the whole yakuza thing more than I should. The cat theme is perfect, IMO - I can cope with cats being dead *from the start* but not dying.
Antique Bakery
Eeee, Ono! So, so lovely. I can't think of anything much other than what I put in the details section. It's worth mentioning, though, that Chikage is possibly the *only* dumb character I really like - usually they irritate the hell out of me.
George Manville Fenn
Because an Imperial Shedload of innuendo is *never* a bad thing! Firm (snerk) evidence that I'm not just in fandom for the smut, although I have a soft spot for first kiss fics where neither of the participants saw it coming.
Boudica
The only series I know where the genders of the couples aren't turned into an issue. Plus, Roman legionnaries! While I think it's a shame Ms Scott faded to black when she did, and would have liked to see a little more action in the books, I'd be just as happy with a nice, sweet, fic focussing on two extremely fit young men spending time with each other in less than ideal conditions. (I'm also still Not Thinking about the outcome of the final battle, so if you want a specific request, how about an afterlife fic?)
Please ask if you want any more details. I'm already having cold sweats about my first Yuletide, so just the fact that someone's writing a fic *for me* will be the best bit of whatever you come up with :)
