BPAL: Al Azif & Darkness
Jul. 4th, 2007 11:02 amAl Azif (A Picnic in Arkham):
A sinister, sinuous incense of summoning, a herald and paean to the Primordial Gods of Darkness, Chaos, Madness and Decay.
The first one I've tried based on the forum reviews, thanks to the thorough unhelpfulness of the site desciption.
It's great :) I can't make out the jasmine some people claim, but it's definitely incensey and musky
Darkness (Ars Moriendi):
Bottled gloom; the essence of oblivion. Blackest opium and narcissus deepened by myrrh.
Descriptions on the forum include "The Caterpillar's goth girlfriend" and more hand:staple:forehead spookykid references to candles, goddesses and night winds than you can shake a stick at.
I get lots of daffodil, with a bit of candle smoke. Perhaps the myrrh will come out later. It's actually a lot nicer than that makes it sound; not many florals stay away from talc, soap or compost heaps on me.
ETA: H just tried it; she says she smells like cats.
