I keep intending to write a nice long chatty entry about what I've been doing and The Week From Almost Hell*, but then I fall asleep.
So, in short, I got home from work on Friday, spent an hour reading, then fell so deeply asleep on the settee that Jasper (who's now moulting on my lap) came & slept on me without waking me up. In fact, I onl;y woke up when he decided to rearrange my tummy into a more comfortable nest after 2 hours. That gave me an hour to check e-mail and find a couple of things for Saturday, and then go to bed. Hence sleeping through Ara :(
Saturday, I had to get up before 10am to drive to Birmingham and
becky_spence. Much tea later, 2 carfuls of us were getting the evil eye from a caretaker at Soho House for daring to take photos of Girls In Corsets (!) in the garden. I hope the "Pimp Jenny & her hos" pictures turn out ok (even if
motodraconis *does* need to Photoshop me into looking awake).
Anyway. After a pub tea, I got home in one piece, spent an hour skimming LJ and went to bed.
Today, I've cut back the bushes at the bottom of the garden where they were overhanging the pavement - and had a couple of naps on the settee. I'm *still* so tired my yawns keep getting interrupted by yawns.
*Because some people have had worse weeks. Just say that I'm no longer looking for a job in industry; I'm now looking for a job *anywhere* except at Deloitte (I'd move back with the Parent People or sell the Big Issue before going back there).

Going back there?
Date: 2007-06-24 06:38 pm (UTC)Re: Going back there?
Date: 2007-06-24 07:34 pm (UTC)Deloitte is where I worked previously; where I trained. I hated every minute of it. Current Place (unnamed because this postis unlocked) is turning into what Deloitte were 10 years ago, and the year end celebrations last week left me feeling more insulted than I have done for a very long time. I know that, compared to my LJ friends, I earn a lot, but for the job I do I'm on a pittance - and a cheap blaapoint pen with the firm's name engraved on it is not going to make me overjoyed to work for them.

Date: 2007-06-24 07:43 pm (UTC)And I suspect, like me, it's not just what you earn, but how valued you feel - in which earnings are just a part
I hope you get something soon
