Bewitching Brews - ABSINTHE
Fall under the spell of our Green Fairy! An intoxicating blend containing wormwood essence, light mints, cardamom, anise, hyssop, and the barest hint of lemon.
Lemon (drops or toilet cleaner? Not sure, but there's too much of it), aniseed, some mint. More like Pernod than Absinthe. Tolerable, and hence a disappointment.
Sin & Salvation - LAUDANUM
The essence of the most debauched hunger encapsulated into a perfume. Desire beyond love, anguish beyond sanity. Nutmeg, sassafras, black poppy and myrrh.
Woe! I'm gutted that I had 2 imps of this and gave one to

I'd have to f-lock this entry to protect anyone under 18 if I wanted to say what I'm *really* thinking but I want to hump something right now. The polite version is that I want to climb inside my own wrist and inhale until I explode. It’s a Victorian Christmas gone wrong; nutmeg and pomanders, but while smoking way too much poppy in an attempt to pretend the world isn’t real, and that something odd isn't going on next door. It's debauchery, sheer physical lust and indulgence, without anything like morals or hangups or pretensions to decency getting in the way. It does get a little sharper after the first few minutes, but not sour or unpleasant. I could lose hours just breathing deeply around this, and I’d swap two other imps for one of this. I like it that much. I wonder how much a bathtub full of it would cost?

Date: 2007-02-02 04:33 pm (UTC)They sell small bottles, or testers called Imp's Ears. They are addictive and, should you wish to try some, a shout out on your f-list will almost certainly get enough takers to fill an order.

Date: 2007-02-02 04:43 pm (UTC)I went through the site when having a slack day a few days back, and there's about 50 oils I want to try. And that's not exaggeration (and further, that's only of the ranges available as imps - LEs/unimpables I'll just idly watch for people selling/swapping them), although reviewing the wishlist might help me weed out some descriptions where it looks like the scents would be similar...

Date: 2007-02-02 08:11 pm (UTC)I'm off out now, but if you want to have a quick check through for an alternative 6th imp (since I assume you were wanting imps, not full bottles?), and leave a comment on the post on my LJ - http://sea-of-flame.livejournal.com/120334.html - I'll pull everything together there.
Full Moon at the BPAL Store: Los Angeles
Date: 2007-02-02 07:23 pm (UTC)Black Phoenix - Our signature oil. A dark, languid scent. Promotes hedonistic tendencies and extreme self-love. You won't stop kissing mirrors for a month.
Embalming Fluid - A light, pure scent: white musk, green tea, aloe and lemon.
The Lion - The dry, glorious warmth of the Savannah. A golden, spiced amber, proud, regal and ferocious.
London - Venerable Victorian Tea Rose… twisted, blackened and emboldened with wickedness.
Roadhouse - Truck stop sleaze. Weedy dandelion and hops with a whiff of tobacco and hemp and a swirl of booziness.
Prague - Crocus with snowdrop and three lilies.
And "O". and i can't find the description online. I love silk road to bits & pieces. and Moxie doesn't come in an individual imp, which pisses me off because i don't like the rest of the package.
I discovered that i dont like musk. its revolting to me somehow. I like grass and green tea smells and incense - stuff like amber, patchoulli and sandalwood. so going to the smellfest helps, because everything smells different on everyone. you're up to your elbows in little pockets of smells on your skin and then you get in the car and drive home and its just intense, lovely smells.
i heart BPAL. for-evah.
and my friend has a crapload of imps, so when we get together its like a tupperware party, only we smell better, and there's no plastic involved.
PS- did you know they have soap too?? and bath balls. so you CAN, literally, soak up your favorite smells. whee!!!
