I slipped on the stairs. I have good cat-trained reactions, so I grabbed the bannister as I fell. Instead of going bump, bump, bump down to the bottom like Pooh, I went CRASH, once.
That was 10 days ago, and it still hurts to sit down, lie on my back or put any sort of pressure at all on my coccyx.
It's not the sort of bone you can put into plaster, either.
Arse.

Date: 2004-03-08 05:28 pm (UTC)You might have jarred your spine (caused bruising as there was literally a knock-on effect up your vertebrae, as I understand it) - I did it several times as a kid doing much the same thing (falling down stairs, rolling down grass slopes and dioscovering concrete at the bottom...that sort of thing) - went away in the end by itself, but was bloody uncomfortable in the meantime...
C
