2. OMG ROLLS ROYCE BENTLEY MARK 4 in Manchester last night! norfolkian caught me while I was still all fangirly & excitable about it, but I have to say, it hasn't faded much overnight. It was in perfect condition, sounded smooth & purry & treacly & velvetier than anything else passiing me on the way to the bus stop, and the 4 lads in it were quite happy for me to stare at it with a silly grin when they stopped at a red light. You can keep your F430s and 1980s silver 911 Carreras (and I never thought I'd say that) - I Love That Car.


3. Never have I been so glad to have got round to dealing with paperwork whwn I was supposed to, instead of when I get nasty letters from debt collectors. This morning's post contained a letter from Cheshire Constabulary saying that my old Astra had been involved in an accident, and they're trying to trace the owner. That's less than a month after I sold it, and only the day after the DVLA acknowledged my "no longer the registered owner" whatnot. Phew.


ETA: 4. And I ran (well, jogged^*) for a whole 10 minutes last night, and didn't collapse at the end of it.

Do you not suffer from 'previous owner guilt sydrome'? When I bought my Astra, I would pass a guy on my commute driving the Pug that I'd traded in, and I'd get all nostalgic. Then came the day I saw the same man driving a Polo and it meant that Pauline Peugeot had gone. I cried.

Lucky you spotting the Bentley. I only ever see Continental GTs on the motorway - probably footballers!

Not hugely. But then, both my previous cars have been on their last legs when I've sold them, so have gone to auction & could have ended up anywhere.

I'm a bit upset that it's been in an accident where it didn't stop (poor car, it deserved better than that), but that's balanced by relief that I got rid before it fell apart under me.

I see a Bentley a day, or thereabouts, int he city centre - lots of lawyers & a Chinese cah & carry owner - but this stood out :) Whatever Mr. May says, I reckon it's tme for a return to 1940s styling :)
