Ok; Zhang & Zhang are incredible. How she got up & completed the programme after a fall like that is mind boggling.

I don't suppose anyone knows the composer of the piece that Marinin & Totmianina danced to? It was announced as "Romeo & Juliet", but it wasn't by a composer I recognised.

Weren't they all good!! I just wished (like Robin Cousins) that they wouldnt keep showing that fall...it HURT!...
I think the music was by Edwin Barton. I didnt know the name either but suspect Nannyo is right. Wasnt it all SO good to watch.
God I wish I could skate like that (or do anything that well come to think of it) instead of doing prat falls as soon as feet and skates get onto ice. I grew up near Richmond Ice Rink in its day THE place to go for skating and I was never able to learn how. But one day a friend who could skate towed me round in the middle and it was a wonderful feeling.

Amazing wasn't it. I didn't mean to watch it. I thought I was going to watch Balderdash and piffle but wow. The Russians were amazing but how she managed to keep going I just don't know.

Yes, whatever else I intended to watch Iam always seduced by the olympics. For a totally non sport person like me its a bit of a strange obsession, but I am fascinated by the grace and elegance of people doing something really well. Watch the hands of a skilled carpenter /pianist etc to see what I mean. Only the really good can make things look that simple and elegant. Very pleasing.
