Well, that was unexpected.

I went nto the office today to sort out a date for going back (12 July, as it turns out). Then I went to Starbucks to get the taste of vending machine coffee-substitute out of my mouth.

Sitting in a squishy armchair, grinning at Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld and slurping a latte, I didn't expect a nearby American bloke to start talking to me. Nor did I expect his two friends to bring their drinks over & join in our discussion about cars and goth clubs.

Turns out they're visiting a few places in the UK with their band.

"What's it called?" I asked.
"System of a Down. We're playing the MEN Arena tonight."

Blimey.

Yeah, m'not sure I'd recognise them either to be quite honest. Still something worth boasting about though!

Will just go back to dreaming of bumping into Bowie in Costa Coffee or some such.. ;)
