Hurrah!

nannyo & I Did Leeds, darling.

I nearly bought a Raven shirt that could have been gorgeous. Sadly, it assumed my boobs were over my collarbones, and gave me an overwhelming urge to coat myself in rhinestones and sing Jolene.

I need (yes, need) a pair of shoes for work. I need something with about a 1.5" heel, so I can wear them with trouser suits but not cripple myself by walking across town twice a day.

Instead, I bought these:



from Schuh (who are doing a reasonable-looking range of New Rock copies).

Because they're beautiful. The Hush Puppies were more comfortable, but I didn't like them as much. The penis shoes are best not mentioned (at least until I upload the photo).

Excellent small comic shop as well (J Michael Straszsyzsyzynynski's Rising Stars, hurrah!) in which N overheard further evidence that Every Geek Shop Must Always Contain Unwashed Men Engaging In A Star Wars Discussion.

nannyo has borrowed vols 3-6 of Saiyuki :) Meanwhile, I have enormously red mohair (I'm tempted to knit a Ford Capri. It's the same colour as Dad's was).


Still having Good Hair Days. I'll never get my hair cut at this rate.

I'm so glad that nobody expects me to look anything but a skanky-ass MOFO at my work, because if I had to dress otherwise, I'd be doomed.

Actually, the main reason I'm terrified by the possibility of our funding being pulled is that I might have to go and find a job in the real world and dress accordingly.
