It's only 35 days to my birthday, and there's a February to get through first.

I didn't make New Year's Resolutions, but I am going to try [livejournal.com profile] raggedhalo's idea of trying something in February (although probably not for the same reasons). I reckon Feb sucks at the best of times, so I might as well load up some more suckage in the hopes that it'll get lost in the mire, and then I'll come out the other end having benefitted from it.

What can I give up? Somehting that'll make a difference, but not take over my life.

Why do you have to 'give up' anything at all?

Think productively instead of punishingly. What do you really want to do for the love of the experience of doing it?

Exactly! The idea is that February sucks, so we make a positive change to our lives to make it a little more bearable.

Ah, but I don't have the time or energy to add anything in just yet. The workload from January will only be *starting* to tail off, and I'll still be knackered in the evenings. Hence wanting to cut something bad out, which will take little / no energy but will have a positive effect and leave me in a better state come March, when I possibly *can* add something good in in its place.

See comment to Munchie :) My idea of an *achievable* positive change is to cut something out that's either holding me back, keeping me lardy, or is generally unhealthy. Therefore it *will* be a positive change, will take minimal time, and will set me up for better things in March (when I'll *need* better things, cos I'll have got OLD.
