Hurrah for Mickey & running away to Paris :)

I still don't understand why becoming a cyberman would be so horrible. Ok; you'd have no emotions, but you wouldn't care that you had no emotions, because you had no emotions.

I can't figure out how to (a) turn .wma files into mp3s, or (b) how to get wmas to play on my phone (the Sony Ericsson W800i).

[livejournal.com profile] strangefrontier, I paid your cheque in today - thank you! Whee, Maiden!

Diet is on hold untilafter the run. I'm not daft. Interestingly enough, I slept wonderfully last night after a 9 1/2" pizza and potato wedges. I wonder whether tonight's Full Vermonty will have the same effect?

What exactly is the point of last.fm? It's tracking what I play, withthe exception of the interesting-and-therefore-badly-tagged things, but - what else? Can I download songs? I've only found the 30sec samples so far. I don't get it.

Uh, I seem to have fucked up some coding after the link in that comment. Oops.

Oh, and YAY MAIDEN!

Well, yes. When the cybermen were t6urning people they seemed to think they were doing them a favour. But as Tennant rather hamfistedly tried to say, it's our pain which defines us and makes us human.

As to the point of Last.fm - it gives you personalised radio, after a while. But I just like it for the charts, and because I like being nosey what other people listen to - Neil Diamond LOL

Neil Diamond is fantastic. C'mon - he did the TG presenters' song, Forever In Blue Jeans!

I didn't realise I listened to it *quite* so much, though...

And re Cybermen - Nope; I reckon getting rid of pain would be a pretty funky thing. Not getting that unstoppable giggly happiness ever again would be horrible, but then after the upgrade process I wouldn't miss it - *and* I'd never get miserable again.

But nor would you care about the really important things like EPIC! TIGHT! PANTS!

Aha! Thank you! I'll play with that later - I've found enough bouncy shouty energetic stuff to keep me going, I think :)

I dread to think what they'll suggest for me. ATM I'm getting a single suggestion of Led Zeppelin, but Media Player set to 4&5 stars has been having an extended Neil Diamond moment recently...

But I wouldn't care that I didn't care! They'd just be a sign of someone who hadn't yet been upgraded!

Actually, I'd settle for a chip that blocked the taste of coriander. It's bleeding *everywhere* atm, and it tastes like soap. Bah.

I love coriander. But I wouldn't force it on anyone who didn't like it.

Wasnt it wonderfully camp and crap? Personally I thought the presenters were "amazing".
Go Finland. Perhaps they have more fun there than we ever thought!
What a wonderful way to take the piss out of the whole thing.
My own personal favourite was the Lithuanian "We are the champions". Really should have won just for the cheek of it.

I'm not sure that the human race could actually function without emotions as I suspect they are wound around our decision making and choice systems (which is why we are sometimes so bad at them)and woven into our subconscious. Imagine not being able to enjoy TG! I agree you wouldnt know what you were missing, but what would be the point. You wouldnt care about aything so why would you do anything at all. I imagine it would be a bit like that non-functional apathy at the bottom of depression without the actual pain. A sort of stasis.
Just whebn Mickey starts to get interesting he buggers off to Paris. How like a bloke! Cant blame him for staying with his Gran tho as she seems to have been the only one who valued him.
