I'm sure people my age aren't supposed to like Jeremy Clarkson quite this much.

Anyway, I meant to mention the cinema, specifically Inside Man (which wasn't set in a men's sauna) and V For Vendetta.

IM was very good. Chiwetel Ejiofor is fantastic, even without a skirt & whip, Clive Owen was pretty good, and Willem Dafoe superb in a small part. It's clever, understated and stylish, and I'm definitely adding it to my wish list.

V was better. I love Alan Moore's work (though I haven't read this one), I love his literary and historical references, and I love his style. I loved the number of British actors. I love Stephen Fry (always worth the price of admission, ridiculously overpriced snacks and petrol) and I loved how the police in a dystopian future drive Rovers... Yup, this one's going on my list as well, along with the book.

(I also love the MC12 on my calendar this month, but that's a tangent.)

People aren't supposed to like Jeremy Clarkson full stop.

Inside Man (which wasn't set in a men's sauna)

It could have been worse; Jeremy Clarkson in a men's sauna, for starters.

People aren't supposed to like him, which is why I do. I tend to agree with him, once I've scaled down his opinions to normal-person size.

And it could have been Jeremy Clarkson and Stephen Fry inside a men's sauna.

I'm really having a thing for Clarkson at the moment. He's so, sweet, especially when he giggles like a baby.

I want to be the filling in my icon sandwich. *sigh*

Don't give my subconscious any ideas.

Yes. Yes, he is sweet. And wonderfully rude, too, when necessary :) I need a Clarkson icon for being rude with.

After tonight's Buzzcocks I want him bound in skin-tight denim, made to giggle madly and delivered to my door.

I'm pretty sure he binds himself in the denim, and the giggling happens fairly often. That's two out of three ;)

How about if I make offerings of sticky address labels? Oh and a nice letter to Mrs C. saying I would like to borrow her hubby for general, nonsexual nefarious purposes 'cause he has a lovely giggle??

I'd like to point out that Mr C. is NOT worth a stamp, but he is worth a sticky label 'cause, unlike stamps, they get cheaper the more you buy in one go. *nods*

Nice legs!

I love his giggling!!

It tells of my nicotene deficiency, though, that I found the bit when he lit up almost irresistible. He also appeared to like being allowed to swear on the telly. Bless.

And we can't have a 'net euphemism losing all meaning, y'know. Standards! ;-)

Jeremy Clarkson should be made to giggle ALL DAY. EVERY DAY. It would cut his pie-related assassination attempts down to less than one a year because he'd be known as Jeremy-with-the-lovely-giggle. And people would like him. In the same way as they like Graham Norton and TUC biscuits with the cheesy filling. *nods*

Dude, when he lit up. So. Did. I. :-D

V is superb, isn't it. Shame about Natalie Clothespeg's performance though. And you'll love the book - I won't spoil one of the funnier differences between it and the film but there is so much more there. It's glorious.

I'm currently reading the book which was a birthday present from [livejournal.com profile] raggedy_man. If you thought the film was dark, the book is even darker.
