I don't know how it started! claire_wain learned, as did the_xtina; they infected nannyo and she's passed the virus on to me...
I sort of know how to knit, insofar as I can cast on & off, and do knit & purl, but I'm hazy about increasing & decreasing, and remember a habit of dropping stitches. I do know that chunky wool on big friendly needles is easier than old lady wool and skinny needles though :)
