I have a suspicion that my life is turning into the Monty Python Gasman sketch, the only difference being that they go away again.

Bloke turned up bang on 10 this morning and spent an hour poking the boiler. He admitted at the end that he wasn't sure *why* it hadn't been working, because all the bits were there & in good condition. What worked in the end was removing the paddle by the water flow sensor, cleaning it, and replacing it.

It worked well enough for me to have a shower. I don't smell any more!

O in the office is busily persuading me to enter the Cannonball Run this year.


It's £2500 plus car & petrol, but including parties, entertainment, food, drink, a track day & entry into a prize draw to win a £100k supercar...

I haven't put the inheritance money in Sensible Places yet.
