Alimentum's location is hardly perfect for a fine dining restaurant (as opposed to Midsummer House, for example), I give him that.
As for the food, I haven't been in half a year or so so tomorrow will tell but last time (and that was already with the ex Midsummer House head chef), the food was fine, and the pudding was good, too. I don't think any pudding I've had can beat Alimentum's deconstructed Tiramisu which was both a work of art and tasted great, too.
If they're doing a tasting menu now, I'd be all over that. I usually can't decide what to choose.

ETA: He's clearly geographically biased. He gave The Kitchin five stars while I found the two very similar in approach to cooking, presentation and portion sizes. My visit to the Kitchin
