Yes. In honour of
snapesbabe's and
ginasketch's new community,
6musicrockshow, I have yet another new userpic. Mmmm, Epic Tight Pants...
Anyway, yesterday's BPAL tests:
Funereal Oils - EMBALMING FLUID
A light, pure scent: white musk, green tea, aloe and lemon.
Sherbet lemons, or that lemon tea you can buy as granules and make up with hot water. The white musk is apparent and reminds me of the Body Shop’s version. It smells clean, in the way that cleansers or body scrubs do. After an hour or so, I end up smelling of something lemon-scented and not quite washing up liquid. I was really looking forward to this, too, after
zoomzoom bought some in their shop - and oh, I'm so envious - they dont appear to do the soaps etc on the website :(
Excolo - PANNYCHIS
An attendant of the Goddess Venus. She presides over nocturnal pleasure, night time festivities, and all the joy and delight that can be found in the darkness. In later ages, it became the name of the all-night festival that closed the Eleusinian Mysteries. Night-blooming jasmine, moonflower, cardamom, sandalwood, black currant, ylang ylang, frankincense and lily.
Starts off sharp & sweet while it's still wet, and the blackcurrant very evident (as is the lily, although to a lesser extent). The cardamom, frankincense & sandalwood aren’t obvious, but it isn’t as sweet as blackcurrant & lily would be alone so there's *something* damping them down. I have no idea what moonflower smells like. No custard, or rubber; perhaps the ylang ylang is only present in a very small dose. Turns unfortunately mid-price generic perfume next, but then Whoops! Someone’s spilt Ribena all over a jam sandwich. Apparently Cacharel's LouLou contains lots of these notes, but with added tonka (bean, not truck, sadly) & vanilla – this could be necessary. I don’t want to smell like jam. Even if it does make me thinnk of Eddie Izzard.
