Far too important to be a mere Sergeant, though. Major would be more suitable, IMO :)

Sgt. Podge needs to be chauffered less and excercise more.

The only method I can think of is to put it on a treadmill and show it a picture of Michael Vick everytime it looks over it's shoulder.

You'd have to enclose the actual belt bit *entirely*, or the cat would vanish off through whatever hole it could find or just stand on the one square inch left uncovered.

Pick it up, walk down the garden and put it down. This also involves exercising the human, which is a bit of a flaw in the plan.

I've tried that! Jasper sat down and went to sleep.

Then you have to go back to the house and shake the biscuit box :) cat cannot stay there forever.

I'm more worried about the lacerations...
