*Grumbles*

I came home last night to 4 hairballs scattered about the house, several feathers, a pile of feathery catsick, and about 75% of a sparrow.

I picked up the partsparrow by its remaining wing, and threw it out of the front door into the bushes. I missed thhe incoming Avon lady by a couple of feet. *Headdesks*

And then, to add insult to injury, I couldn't whinge about it on LJ.

On the other hand, I found several WK vids on youtube and snagged some nice screencaps :)

Not quite as bad as my mum who doused a friend with dirty water when she emptied her mop bucket out of the front door without looking...

I think I was more horrified than she was - I *knew* what had just missed her...

The middle one in particular, right?

What's better is that I learned it in GCSE Latin. Catullus's girlfriend Lesbia had a pet sparrow that died, and he wrote a poem about being sick to death of her crying over it.

(I don't suppose you fancy getting into manga? I need someone to enthuse about pretty cartoon assassins with...)

manga me! I'd definitely be up for it. Mup and I have watched and enjoyed some stuff that we've downloaded, so would love more plot and pretty.

Also, I think I must have done the same poem for GCSE latin.

Yay!

Right: here is the introductory (translated) manga, "An Assassin and White Shaman". And several other bits I haven't looked at yet.

Then go to YouTube and search for Weiss Kreuz. Episodes are generally split into 3.

After that, there's a pair of things called Verbrechen & Strafe, which are also on YouTube.

And then there's a post-legal-issue series called Gluhen, again on YouTube.

Apparently, there are other bits as well, but that's as far as I've got.

LJ explanatory links (with fanfic overtones) are here, here, and here.

Basically: 2 teams of 4 assassins, all with more angst than can be found at Whitby and far, far more attractive. Some of them have psychic powers.
