Squee! ARGH. Squee!

Argh, argh, argh!

SQUEE tomorrow, and Argh!

I haven't even started packing.

The cake I'm (trying to) bake is Not Cooking. How is it that the first one, where I buggered up the recipe, looks ok (if a bit burned) but the second, where I followed the rules exactly, is refusing to set?

My fingertips are turquoise, thanks to changing the ink cartridge on the printer.

All the local accountants are getting drunk & entertained at the Crown Plaza in town. I'm Not. While this means I might have got something done this evening, it also means I'm missing a Very Good Party. (Although I would probably have embarrassed myself, forgetting what I was trying to say when distracted by Martin-with-the-eyes).

Many other arghs too, mainly because I've had NO TIME TO DO ANYTHING this week. ARGH!

I had Plans to go into town & visit the Bravissimo sale in the morning. Somehow, I doubt I'll have time...

Hey don't forget your plot bunny, Dink is looking forward to seeing everyone again ^_^

Also still up, just took the cake out of the oven (it took a lot longer than advertised) and will be up for Quite Some Time as I desperately need to finish the sewing on my jacket before I leave for the weekend.

And I need to ice it.

Very appropriate headless chicken icon!

Pls could you bring your Squall jacket for me to try? If you have room in Roy, of course :)

Shall do, It's this one by the way. We can do a quick alteration on it if we need to. I don't think it needs any major fixing - just needs a safety pin on the collar.

Why isn't everything fitting in my bag?????? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2008-07-24 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Aha! I have Solved This Problem! I have a suitcase in which I could fit a 10 year old child, if I so wished!

I'm less certain about being able to fit the case in the car, but that's not the point...

I'm sure if Gojyo can take it, Dante can too.

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2008-07-24 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah; Gojyo predates this case. If I put the back seats down, Hakkai would just about fit in him; I hope I don't need to do the same for this!

I feel like I should be yelling "more lube! more lube!"

I'm not getting his leather dirty!

All it needs is attention to detail and a good angle ;)

[identity profile] dark-squall.livejournal.com 2008-07-25 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
It's all about the angles.

Either because you have used too narrow a cake tin so that it's too thick for the heat to penetrate the middle before the edges burn, or because some fool keeps opening the oven to let all the heat out.

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2008-07-25 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
Neither :( Same tin for both, and no door opening for either.

It cooked in the end.

I think there's a clear moral here. NEVER FOLLOW THE RULES! :D

Where are you off to tomorrow? Or today rather? Wherever it is, I hope you get packed OK! :)

I'm off to [livejournal.com profile] squeefest_uk in - ooh, however long it takes me to pack!

I didn't make it to Bravissimo, but I'll have a look for one in York. I have, at least, made it to Tesco's to replace the bakingstuffs of [livejournal.com profile] professoryaffle that I used last night, and to the Royal Mail depot to collect A Package (Blood, Hellsing & Vampire Hunter D) :D
