Blood (oranges)

Today I smell like .

Blood - Bewitching Brews.
Essence of dragon's blood resin, thickened with myrrh and cherry, with a trickle of clove.

Dragon's blood resin appears to smell of oranges to me. This is the colour of marmalade, and has that Seville orange slightly bitter scent.

On, the cherry and clove stop it being *too* bitter, while myrrh stops it being completely foody. Again, I'm not sure what it has to do with blood, but it's a comforting, rich scent that needs tea and toast to be at home. Smelling it in a modern office doesn't quite work; it creates slight dissonance in my head as my nose expects one set of surroundings while my ears tell me something else. It's nice; nicer than Wrath, certainly.

Also: did you do the thing(s) to your computer? Disk clean up and defrag?

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2007-05-25 09:51 am (UTC)(link)
I tried! I replied here, but maybe LJ ate it?

I see! I SEE.

Ok, will have a look on Sunday. My guess is the process isn't shutting down properly.

Try this next:

Restart your computer
As it's starting hit the F8 key and go into Safe Mode.

Try defragging there :)

What time?

I shall try that tonight!

Afternoon / evening is preferable - let me know when's easiest & I'll be in :)

Ah, it's a perfume thing!

I thought you'd maybe gone on a murder spree with a chainsaw or something!

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2007-05-25 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
Chainsaws are too much like hard work. I'd prefer a sniper's rifle, or nice old-fashioned revolver for up close massacring :)

I'd go for some kind of sword myself. Much more chivalrous than just popping away at people with firearms.

At least with a sword they have some chance to retaliate before I cleave them asunder! That appeals more to my sense of fair-play! :)

That's Just Daft.

There's no point in giving them a *chance*! You might get hurt!

I'm sure I could hack them down before they did me any serious damage, but I feel it's important to let them try to defend themselves. It's the honourable thing to do!
