Hope it stops spinning.

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, but the spinning's fun!

[identity profile] steve-savicki.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Why is it fun?

[identity profile] karohemd.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't make me shoot you! ;oÞ

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
You cannot harm me! My Pocky is like a shield of steel!

Well, it was, until I ate it all!

[identity profile] ihavecake.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 04:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh dear, would that be Pocky overload??

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Never! No never! Though without any Major Generals!

Eeee! And it's pink!

Is there a new catnip flavour out?! :D

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Just the ordinary strawberry one! But it's great! Especially when you realise that the end of a box would just go stale overnight, so you might as well *really* cheer yourself up by eating it all at once!

[identity profile] little-smaug.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Am I the only person in the world who doesn't know what Pocky is?

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... You know those savoury snacks you can get, usually for parties or Christmas or tings? You can get pretzel-shaped ones, or long thin sticks, and they're glazed with something and sometimes have salt added?

Well, take an unseasoned version of the stick ones, and coat abotu 5" out of 6" with stuff. Strawberry flavoured stuff, in this case - it's sweet, has the texture of cheap white chocolate, and is entirely artifical :)

I've only ever found Pocky in oriental supermarkets - I'd never heard of it until I started wandering into Chinatown for lunch :)

[identity profile] little-smaug.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
That... doesn't really sound appealing. But I'll keep an eye out, if it's as good as everyone seems to think. ;)

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, they aren't salted underneath the candy coating, so really they're just like cheap "chocolate" biscuits :)

[identity profile] ihavecake.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
And do you pronounce the proper Japanese Poo-KEY way, or the English hockey way?

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-08-17 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
I'm afraid the English way, having seen it written before I'd heard it spoken. Also, "Poo-key" makes me think of Garfield's teddy bear rather than oriental junk food :)

Proof that physicists are here to mess with our heads. ;)

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-08-17 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
And not ashamed to admit it! Head-messing is marvellous fun :)

(At least I'm nice enough to practise on my *own* head first...)

Alright then, melt my brains by explaining String Theory to me! LOL

Dont think Nelson has a Chinatown where I could find such things. Will have to come visit and steal your supply. Sounds like just the thing when I go back to school and have---ugh---K I D S to deal with.

Chinese supermarket in the city centre :)
