For anyone worrying about me getting too serious about the bimboproject, I've just tried to watch "Kate and Leopold".

Honestly BBC2, I think I'd have preferred football to that if we couldn't have Top Gear. Apart from a very quick Hugh-Jackman's-Bum-In-Breeches shot near the beginning, it could have been improved vastly by the addition of some adamantium claws and plenty of gore.

Despite everything, I appear to be getting into manga; specifically, Weiss Kreuz. Except I can't find it in any shops, and I'm having to rely on fanfic. Dear god some of it's scarybad. Recommendations of adult authors who can write in comprehensible sentences would be much appreciated.

Ahem. I can receommend viridian5, emungere, toscas_kiss, bladderwrack and ladyjaida, all of whom have stories on their LJs (some with links to their sites as well). I'll email you some stuff . . .

Sadly, WK hasn't been officially translated into English, though it is available in German from amazon.de - the anime has been officially released in an American version (and not so officially in a Hong Kong version too). Both versions have subtitles (the HK subtitles are . . . interesting to say the least), and the US one has a dubbed option too.

The order goes more or less like this:

[manga] An Assassin and White Shaman, vols 1 and 2

[anime] Weiss Kreuz (aka Weiss Kreuz: Kapitel, aka in the US Knight Hunters)

[anime] OVA 1 and 2, Verbrechen and Strafe

[anime] Weiss Kreuz: Gluhen

[manga] Weiss: Side B vols 1-? (up to no 4 has been translated)


All the manga is in print, and I can send you avi files of the two OVA and Gluhen (sadly, I don't have series 1 in avi - its animation isn't as pretty as Gluhen's, but the character designs were changed radically in Gluhen owing to a lawsuit).

I *almost* started to get interested in Weiss by the end of Verbrechen & Strafe. And then the squeak I let out at the sight of Crawford scared the cats off... I guess I'm just Evil's Fangirl ;)

Oh - what am I doing wrong? I can't get at the links to Gluhen episodes 5, 6 or 7 - they're just bringing up the YSI "Send a file" page :(
