Everything's all right with the world

Top Gear is back :)

Lion porn and POWER and setting water on fire and Epic Tight Pants and James groping a hazard light button and Hamster in the most appropriate car imaginable and Jeremy fanboying Rick Wakeman and Rick Wakeman eating cupcakes and Justin Hawkins and the Koenigsegg and Real Men use sewing machines and The Stig crashing and...

Guh.

Clarkson using a sewing machine was very sweet. I bet his mummy the Paddington Bear saleslady taught him.

:D

Paddington or Piddington?

[identity profile] munchkinott.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
DW last night, TG tonight. The BBC are spoiling us ROTTEN.

I do think some of the audience members have been on the waiting list so long that they've already died and had to be delivered from the local mortuary.

I want a Koenigsegg CCX. Because... OMG YES! And I want Trevor Eve as the chauffeur for it!

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I want one too. Just becasue. But I want to be the one doing the chauffeuring. Cars are all about the driving; I wouldn't want a Maybach, cos it'd be no fun. Nope; I'll take a Koenigsegg and a new life insurance policy, thankyouverymuch :)

I can't drive though. And there's NOWHERE TO PUT L-PLATES!

...

I think I'd sleep on it every night and stroke it and call it 'Bob'.

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Whereas you'd have to call the Nissan Scrotum "The Brogue", after the Saki horse ;)

I'll drive you around, then. Deal?

It was a lot of fun.
Whoever let that pink abomination out of the factory deserves to be put in the stocks so they can be mocked publically.
The sad thing is, there might be people who'd buy such thing...

Who was the myster Well Spoken Man?

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
A few pink Micras were loaned to journalists in aid of a breast cancer charity, but I can't imagine whey they've put a convertible one into production. Even the Fiat 500s at the Classic Car show were less repellent.

No idea on the WSM; don't honestly care. They had Rick Wakeman & Justin Hawkins :)

[identity profile] karohemd.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehehe.

Before I scrap my Punto, I want to take it round the TG track, just to see what it could do and without fear of damaging it (like shearing off the wheels or something). I do hope it'll hold for a few more years, though, I can't (or rather don't want to) afford a new car at the moment.

That SIARPC segment was ace..they should keep it like that!

*happy sigh*

So pleased it's back.

Well Spoken Man was James Hewitt, former lover of Princess Diana.

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh, yes. Every SIARPC bit should have Rick Wakeman accompanying it!

[identity profile] the-modette.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
:P He was fab! Especially for ranting at Ferdinand!

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll have to mock a couple of people at work next week for being City fans, just like RW ;) They're *far* too trendy for anything like that...

[identity profile] mrmmarc.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
The Stig crashing... aweaome!!!!

Can't wait until the rear spoiler is put on that insane machine.

So- what can they do with the traumatised dog?

[identity profile] fire-kitten.livejournal.com 2006-05-08 11:27 am (UTC)(link)
it was fun. my other half now wants as Koenigsegg... can't say I was completely convinced though.

Do you want to meet up for coffee tomorrow night? I should be working round your way on Weds

[identity profile] dragonmamma.livejournal.com 2006-05-08 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely!! All of that and then some!! We are being spoilt arent we? But then it all goes downhill for the rest of the week. Except for New Tricks tonight which is for old fogeys with a weird sense of humour.
Hopefully this will put me in the right frame of mind for 1st interview tomorrow morning.
