Cocking!

[livejournal.com profile] dr_wez, I had one for you, and it was very enjoyable.

Anyway, it appears that three Jen[n][i][e][y]s isn't enough to implode the universe, although it does make life easy when making introductions ("Sarah, these are Jenny"). We shall continue searching for other members of the Collective.

We visited Holier Than Thou, where despite already having captive balls, I bought 2 more. I confused a Small Child by woffling my nose at her, and fed [livejournal.com profile] nannyo a preparatory Creme Egg. We met a python and verified that Jasper is my cat, not my boyfriend.

[livejournal.com profile] snapesbabe was offered a discount in Forbidden Planet without asking for one. I think this counts as a SuperPower. It turns out that she also has boobies, and I discovered that sports bras come in black.

Apparently (according to [livejournal.com profile] tooth_fairy), I have smug genitals.

We were given crayons in Old Orleans, and we left an Elephant's bottom and Cthulhu on the tablepaper.

I resisted the Lure of Lush, despite [livejournal.com profile] tooth_fairy's discount thingy, mainly because of the sneezing and the queues, but not Starbucks. My spiky hair thing from Needles (which I was going to show a picture of here, but it doesn't show as much as I remembered (as indeed it doesn't in this icon)) attracted attention, ranging from "Funky Hair!" through a 12 year old girl pulling faces and a Bloke At The Station saying, "Can I touch it?".

It was a Grand Day Out :)

====

I hate colds.

I hate how I switch between feeling hyperventilated and oxygen-starved. I hate how my ears feel as if they want to sneeze. I hate how my nose won't get *properly* blocked, or *properly* clear, but hovers somewhere in between where it's just irritating. I hate getting out of breath again, just as the Running Thing was starting to make it easier to walk up hills (such as the one to the Ally Pally) without being gasping at the top. I hate not getting a good night's sleep because of waking up & needing to drain my head.

I forgot about your Jennytals!

[identity profile] karohemd.livejournal.com 2006-03-25 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I really don't want to know, do I?

[identity profile] tooth-fairy.livejournal.com 2006-03-26 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
smug genitals are something everyone should aim for, it's a fabulous thing :p

[identity profile] karohemd.livejournal.com 2006-03-26 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, sometimes mine do stand up all proud and beaming...

[identity profile] tooth-fairy.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 09:38 am (UTC)(link)
admittedly smug genitals on women are not so visually obvious :p

[identity profile] karohemd.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 10:03 am (UTC)(link)
they probably still put a smile on your face, though. :o)

[identity profile] tooth-fairy.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
It's all good :)

[identity profile] the-mendicant.livejournal.com 2006-03-25 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a good day, wish I'd been there instead of doing intensive housework!

[identity profile] miss-s-b.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
* wishes you'd been there too *

One day we'll have an enormous convention and take over a city centre and drink it dry... >:D

[identity profile] karohemd.livejournal.com 2006-03-26 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Your spiky hair thing shows up very nicely in this photo. :o)

spikey hair

[identity profile] dragonmamma.livejournal.com 2006-03-26 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
Is it actually your own or a fitted hair piece on the back. It looks very impressive. I like the blue choker/necklace thingy too. It suits you.
Wish I had the courage to go out wearing the sort of clothes that suit the me inside but dont do the outside me any favours.
Oh, well, probably too old for it now anyway. Cant wait till I get old enough to wear purple knitted tea cosies on my head!! and skirts with elastic waistbands of course!!

Pah, you're never to old to dress how you like.

You're right. I must stop using age as a shorthand excuse. It's really more a case of too conservative, too poor and too well aware of what I would look like dressed in the kind of outfit I would really love to wear. Somehow the thought of an 18stone 58 year old in a black leather corset trimmed with violet lace, midnight blue slashed with sky blue long satin skirt, a vampire cloak in black with royal blue silk lining, knee high cowboy boots in purple and every large gothic ring you can imagine scares me and I wouldnt be the poor sods having to look at it!! (But secretly I would love to turn up at the library dressed like that for a day's work - it would scare them shitless!!)

You'd get a big round of applause off me if you turned up to my workplace dressed like that.

And I'm not even slightly goth, ask puddingcat.

I'd probably get a round of applause from the kids, too. But since "they" asked me not to wear my rings as being unsuitable (I wore some for Hallowe'en)suggested that a suit would be more appropriate in getting respect than trousers and sweaters, and disapproved of my Xmas display -- too much "art" and not enough religion -- and anyway the kids made a mess doing it, I rather think the applause would be quickly followed by the sack. So, since I need the money....

Poo. It's just not fair.

Life's a bitch and then you die! But I have managed to sneak in all the pagan festivals in my displays/got 2 huge new display boards up/do a "quote of the week" which is often totally insidious/have played pop music in the library /ran art contests and crossword etc weeks/started a knitting club and managed to persuade at least half of the staff that I am an innovative and caring Librarian with a flair for involving the kids. (of course they havent heard me banning simple swear words in favour of more descriptive language - you can say Copulating Hades in my hearing but not F...Hell and so forth). After all libraries are supposed to be about extending your knowledge and vocabulary!!! Are you going to Fire Kitten's "Go Ape" jaunt? Will I see you there? (I shall be wandering around on the ground Catcalling and jeering at all the athletic prowess!!)

Oblate spheroids instead of bollocks, etc. ;)

I don't think I know fire kitten, but I tend to be not able to go to as many things as I would like anyway, due to child, dog, older child (i.e. man) and lack of own transport that I can use legally.

Once I've passed my bike test this will be alleviated slightly, but...

Ah yes, lifes litle handicaps. Fire Kitten is mine but all grown up now. I mostly know people on LJ through her and her friends. Oh well, we shall have to meet up one day at Puddingcat's place. Its not too far away from me as I am in Nelson in darkest Lancs. (Pendle witch country vying with strong catholics laced with an influx of Muslim) Eeh they're a weird lot round here and no mistake.!!

LOL you can't tell me from weird, I live in Brighouse and work in Bradford ;)

A visit to Puddingcat's sounds nice, though :D

[identity profile] vulgarcriminal.livejournal.com 2006-03-27 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
AH! Did you get my calls? We were trying to get you out to Sin City to meet some Germans. :)

[identity profile] puddingcat.livejournal.com 2006-03-31 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
Pooh :( I'm not ignoring you, I'm being ill & crap & crap some more :(

I'd got home before I heard the phne go, and by that time I was well on the way to unconsciousness. You *really* wouldn't have thanked me for introducing you to the wonders of this lurgy.
