Three hours has never gone by so quickly :) I'll have some interesting bruises tomorrow, and I'll be walking like John Wayne for a day or two, but it was utterly, utterly, fantastic :) Proves my muscles haven't gone away, but were just in hiding, and also that I really don't have any fear of heights (or drops).

Oh, and I saw a Bugatti on the way home...

I didn't really feel as if balance was an issue. Well, except on one crossing where I did fine but most people were wobbling about a lot :) Most was getting the hang of shifting my weight forwards enough that my back foot didn't lurch backwards & cause me to do the splits...

I went to the Grizedale one, in between Windermere and Ullswater - it's only 100 miles each way. dr_wez (another Cambridge person, btw) has done it too, I think at the Thetford one (though his description left rather - interesting - mental images...

Hm, dr_wez seems to be a rather lonely person, he doesn't know any Cambridgians I know (or even know of), just people I recognise from your friends list. Probably just means he isn't a goth, geek or gamer. ;o)

He might not be a goth, but he does something-with-computers (so is probably a geek) and I think he plays WoW (so is probably a gamer, of sorts). One of those "why haven't I met you?" people, probably :)
